In The Ears

Knockout - Lil Wanye & Nicki Minaj
Superbass - Nicki Minaj

Nothing new or exciting, but I've been listening to Pink Friday all week (along with Cee Lo Green's album, Lady Killer)
In other news... I brought a ring from H&M a few weeks ago, and I've literally worn it on the same finger since I've had it. So last night I decided to try it on another finger, and of course it got stuck. After my finger lost feeling and went purple, Dad had to get the metal clippers out and chop it off - boo :( - after 2 hours of me screaming and moaning it's now off. I have a very swollen finger which will hardly bend, a standard Sunday morning.

Hope you all enjoyed the sunny week we had, back to rain now waheey!

Let Me Clear My Throat - DJ Kool
Bottoms Up - Nicki Minaj & Trey Songz
Guilty pleasure this week is... What The Hell - Avril Lavigne (yuck)

Some older songs this week, but the weather has been putting me in such a good mood and these are a few of my favourite songs ever!

I even had a sing-into-the-hairbrush moment earlier, which is pretty embarressing.

So last day of freedom today, I'm going to grab some cereal and tuck up in bed with Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte.

End To The Weekend

This weekend has been all about chainsaws, cars and the pub.
Not for me, for my other half.
It has been a dull weekend and I've spent most of it sitting in the car like a spoilt brat (ha).

But now I have the evening to myself, which means I can bang some posts out.

So today, I made my way to Boots - determined to find something to sort my skin out - and I had heard some good things about No7's Hot Cloth Cleanser so this was one of the first things I ran for.

I also purchased No7's Natural Blush in 20 Honey, it's a really subtle pink, almost a tan colour but looks really flattering when worn. I'm not really a huge blush fan - I'm too paranoid that I'll look like a hooker. But this one is nice!

...and lastly I got Neutrogena's Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub. I haven't heard anything about it & I'm starting a whole new skin routine tomorrow so I will let you know how I get on with this and the Hot Cloth Cleanser. However I can tell you it smells amaaaazing. Almost like those refreshers you eat as a kid. Yummy.

There is still as few more things I want to get, I really want a good brush cleanser and a nice eyebrow pencil, but I don't think £12.50 is reasonable for a pencil!? So it looks like a visit from the E.L.F fairy.
One other thing I have done is chop down a spare mascara wand - I've seen a lot of people have been doing this in light of Clinique's new bottom lash mascara & I thought it made so much sense so I did it myself!
And my god, it is so much easier! I wouldn't pay £10 when I've just done it for free - it's worth doing..

The No7 range isn't something I used to use at all, but now it's what I head for first! I had so many of the £5 vouchers and I've got some really good things out of it.. (Quick Cover Blemish Stick, Cleanse and Care Eye Makeup Remover and a Quad Eyeshadow Palette.) I have one voucher left - any recommendations on what to buy with it?

Hope you all had a lovely weekend! Back to work/school now...

Favourites

I figured I should share with you lovely ladies some of my favourite products/items at the moment. Enjoy!

1. Soothing Eye Make Up Remover (Boots Botanics Range) - I have nearly run out and I'm gutted! Need to buy some more urgently! It's one of the only make up removers I've found that doesnt sting after use, and it smells a-ma-zing.
2. Bare Minerals Boxom Lips in Amber - A treat from my boyfriend when we went for a spa weekend, instant plump and tingles & such a flattering colour.
3. Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner - Long lasting liner, what more can I ask for!?
4. Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in 200 Soft Beige - Still looking for that flawless foundation, but this will do for now! Plus it hasn't gone that foundation-y smell to it which always makes me gag.
5. E45 Endless Moisture for Radiant Skin - Two words, Life. Saver.
6. Tresemme Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo - Perfect for those mornings where 3 alarms just isn't enough!
7. Clinique Moisture Surge - A free sample with Glamour's 10 year edition, I will most definetly be buying a big bottle when I'm done with this. 5 minutes and your skin is as smooth as a baby's behind.
8. £1 Earrings I picked up when I was getting a manicure last week, it was a tiny nail bar and only the one woman worked there and I sort of took pity and just brought them without properly checking them. But turns out they're lush!
9. Elephants I picked up whilst travelling in Sri Lanka - They're homemade from wood and cost me the equivalent of about 10p for both, the tsunami reminded me of them because obviously Sri Lanka suffered from a huge tsunami a few years ago.
10. No.7 Cleanse and Care Eye Make Up Remover - ONLY £2 WITH THE NO.7 £5 VOUCHER. Yes, bargain!
11. Volume Million Lashes in Black - You can't really have a favourites without a mascara ;) Still love this one, but not at all a fan of Maybelline One by One - the 'lash catcher' actually hurts.

In other news, my StayMatte powder has just gone crumbling into the carpet, boohoo :(

Have a nice day

Buh-Bye Roots

I have needed to dye my hair for AGES.
It had gone a gingery brown and didn’t suit me in the slightest,
So I thought I’d do a nice easy before & after post…

BEFORE

AFTER

-insert sigh of relief-

I need a haircut so badly! The Frankie Sandford cut has grown out and is whisping round my neck day by day, growing it into a bob is taking for-ev-errrr.
(Hence the messy clipped up-do!)

Any suggestions on quick hair growth?

NB. PLEASE excuse the bad pictures, one was taken at 3am and the other.. well I don't really have an excuse! Just pure lazzzzzziiiiness.

In The Ears

Alexis Jordan - Good Girl
Emily Osment - LoveSick
E.T - Katy Perry & Kanye West

So this week it's all about the girly pop!
I'm kind of fooling myself into thinking it's already Summer, we had about 3 days of sunshine here in Norfolk, and I was wearing the most summery clothes you can imagine, you would've thought you'd slipped and fallen into Southern France in the midst of July!
These songs are so bouncy, cheesy and easy to sing-a-long to, just my cup of tea! :)

So I've decided on a holiday! (I'm so impulsive). As both mine and my boyfriends birthdays have been this month we thought instead of getting each other extravagant gifts we would just use the money for a holiday in a couple of months. Were thinking Turkey, it's dirt cheap and boiling hot - can't ask for more!

Have any of you lovely ladies been to Turkey? I'm basically asking is it safe? ha.

Enjoy the songs, and enjoy your day.

Desk VS. Vanity

One desk.
Two Ideas.
What Story Does Your Bedroom Tell?

I love my desk, it’s a gorgeous glass-topped pine wood table. But what should be on display here?

Should it be my laptop, diaries, books, and stationary? Or should it be my best friend – make up.

I’m a working woman, so I need my inner nerd to be only a reach away – but a working woman still needs to look her best right!?

After switching and changing for many weeks now, I have decided.

Make up can no longer be my soul mate.

[Cue violins]

Your bedroom can say so much about you, mine is filled with clothes, jewellery, scatter cushions, candles and as of late, make up. But I don’t want my first impression on someone to be ‘insecure teenage girl’ (we all know it’s not really what us make-up fanatics are… but that is the way of the world) so I have opted for the smart sophisticated WOMAN. The scatter cushions and candles can stay, but everything else needs to be out of the way of those judging eyes.

So hello bookworm, goodbye MAC.

What story does your boudoir tell?,

X

NB. This may sound like lots of people come into my bedroom, they DON’T. I just want a cleansed room for a fresh outlook on life, I can’t wear my make-up goggles anymore.

These Boots Are Made For Walking... All Over My Superstitions

Who defines superstition?

Apparently 3 drains are unlucky if you walk across them, but in order to avoid them you have to face other obstacles.

For example; today I’m walking to the nail bar – naive little me – I come across 3 drains and I’ve always been told it’s unlucky to walk over these, so I avoided them by walking in the road. And I nearly got hit by a car. Not just any car. But the car containing an ex-boyfriend and his friends. And yes they beeped their bloody horn. I could still hear them laughing as I realised I had nearly been run down.

"Cringe" just doesn't cut it.

So boots, next time we’re walking all over those 3 drains.

On the other hand… Don’t my nails look nice?
I guess not walking over those drains meant I came home super cautious looking super chic.
